Today's post is an ode to my alma mater, The University of Southern California.
From the first moment I set foot on the campus of the USC, when I was 17, I knew that I wanted to be a Trojan.
I feel in love with the quads, the fountains, the iconic Doheny Library and Bovard Auditorium, and of course, Tommy Trojan. I loved the sports, the students, and the academics.

I went on to spend some of the best years of my life at USC. Meeting and living with my best friends in the Pardee Tower Dorms, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and City Park Apartments.
Partying at the 901 Club (the 9-0), the 29th Street Cafe (the 2-9), Traditions (Traddy's), and Fraternities (the Row). And of course, meeting the guy who'd later become my husband at the 9-0 and dating him.
(Do you like this old silly photo of us from 2004? Drinking Bud Light on the porch of The Mr.'s fraternity -- oh, those were the days.)
Oh yeah, and I did study too. I actually studyed a lot. In fact, I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Communication from The Annenberg School. I loved my major, my classes, and being a part of Annenberg. I was an Annenberg Ambassador and on the board of the Annenberg Honor Society for several semesters.
But, one of the best things about USC is the Football games. The entire campus becomes one giant day-long tailgate and the Memorial Colosseum fills with fans. I love Game Day at USC!
I'd be lying if I said I didn't really miss being at student at USC sometimes. It's just such an amazing experience to be a Trojan.
But at least we make it back to campus for all of the Football games so we can relive our "glory days" for a few days a year.
Does anyone love their Alma Mater as much as I do?

What a sweet post...a nice trip down memory lane :) I miss college days!
Very much! I went to the University of Oregon... so techinically you and I are rivals.. :-) but the USC campus is gorgeous! I miss our campus bar Renne's, the Knight Library, and how gorgeous campus was in the summertime. Good memories! Go Ducks! :-)
Such a fun post! I can definitely relate, I loved my days at the University of Virginia and fell in love with the school on my first visit there too. My school, however, isn't fortunate enough to have the incredible football program yours has. I can't imagine how much fun USC games must be!
I sooooo wanted to go to USC, but, after a lot of thought, I went out of state. Still wish I'd gone to USC sometimes, but, as I get older, the more I love my alma mater.
Also, we may have gone over this before, but, I WAS A GAMMA PHI BETA TOO! Yay!
I LOVE..LOVE..LOVE LSU(Louisiana State University).
Nothing like game days, the Quad, sorority row, crawfish boils and some Abita beer!!
What a beautiful campus :)
Awww...this post makes me miss college, too! Like Coach's Wife, I'm a Duck through and through. And I know how much you love USC...I'll have to say I love Oregon just as much. It's been fun to see Oregon's rise to prominence over the last decade - it's come a long way from its hippie roots. :) Go Ducks!
I wish I would have expanded my horizon's and looked at other schools and left Minnesota for college. USC is a great school!
That picture of you and your hubs is so cute!!
I have never been to USC, but it looks beautiful! Don't you miss those glory days- I know I do, haha!
What a great post - I have a cousin and a great friend at USC. My friend is there for a masters in communications and she talks about the program all the time! My cousin also loves the football team!

I wish my alma mater had a high school. Coming from Texas, that was in my DNA! But alas, my school didn't offer that. I'm still glad I ended up there, because I met my best friends as well as my husband there. Totally worth giving up weekly football games!
love your blog! thanks for stopping by my blog :) cant wait to read more!
Yes!!! I miss my college days and this post made me miss them even more!
How funny - I know a ton of people who went to USC! I graduated in 2005. I'm so curious if I had your dad as a student, I was a Journalism major so I was always in the Comm building.
And USC football games ARE the best!
I also heart my Alma Mater! Cal State Long Beach will always hold a special place in my heart. My hubby and I also went to the same school and really enjoyed our time in class together.
Sometimes we go for runs or bike rides around campus and still enjoy visiting!
