Like Romeo & Juliet, Barbie & Ken, Mickey & Minnie...
Or in our case, Dwight & Angela. Everyone's favorite oddball couple from The Office.
At first I suggested that we dress up as the fake pimp and fake prostitute that busted ACORN since, as the movie "Mean Girls" says, "Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it." But on second thought, neither of us was too comfortable with the idea of me dressed like prostitute (even an imitation of an imitation of a prostitute).
But when I suggested that the Mr. dress up as our favorite character from The Office, Dwight, the obvious choice for me was uber-conservative, up-tight Angela!
I put together this collage of "Dwight & Angela" inspiration to help us determine the best outfits.
Dwight attire requirements:
- Brown slacks
- Short sleeved shirt in brown, yellow, or light green
- Ugly tie
- Drug store glasses
- Digital watch
- Belt with phone attached
- Middle parted hair with gel
- Sign that says "Fact" (optional)
- Beets (optional)
Angela attire requirements:
- Pencil skirt in black, grey, or pastel
- Turtle neck
- Cardigan
- Cross necklace
- Stuffed white Cat to be "Sprinkles"
- Tights in black or grey
- Flats
- Side part hair or headband
- Argyle (optional)
The best part is that we already have most of these items, so it won't cost a ton of money! Do you have any ideas for items that would complete our Dwight or Angela ensembles?

We just got invited to a murder mystery party on Halloween. We're going to have such fun putting our costumes together. It's an old west theme!

This is a great idea!!! Do you remember when Dwight took over and had the dollars with his face on them. You should find them online and print some for the Mr. to hand out. And you could totally have like streamers or something since Angela is always planning the parties. :) XOXO
I am not sure what we are going to be yet. But we have a couples party to go to. Let me know if you hear of any other clever ideas. I think Taylor Swift/Kanye will be a popular costume duo this year. Beyonce in a leotard and Octomom are others I've heard.

This will be so cute... I can't wait to see it all put together! Halloween is by far my favorite time and I love trying to convince the hubby to dress up in "couple" costumes.

It looks like we had the same idea! except my husband and I are going to be Pam&Jim, because they are by far my favorite t.v. couple and i'm a ridiculously HUGE office fan. yay for the office wedding tomorrow night!
this is GREAT!!! The Office comes on like 5 times a day here! Hubby and I always watch it!
