"Freedom" and a Giveaway

Freedom

This weekend I finished my first book of 2011, Freedom by Jonathan Franzen.

This was a truly fantastic book. Franzen is an amazing writer that paints scenes and characters with beautiful and witty language. And while I didn't find myself liking a lot of the characters for much of the story, I was incredibly captivated with them and how real they were. This is one of those books that "stays with you" for days. I give it 5 stars/5 stars and highly recommend it. I almost want to read it again!

But tomorrow I start reading The Help and I am excited!

A giveaway!

Also, I am doing a really awesome giveaway this week on my Reviews and Giveaways blog for a handmade necklace from the Nakate Project. Head over to my Reviews and Giveaways blog for a chance to win!

I borrowed The Help from a co-worker and I can't wait to read it! I think if I start it I will avoid my homework, however. :) Hope your weekend away was great!

The Help was AMAZING! I don't buy books very often, but this is one that I will buy once I get my e-reader.

Oh you will LOVE The Help!! Can't wait to hear your opinion, (especially from someone outside of the South). Just finished Steve Martin's "An Object of Beauty." I recommend it!

I have heard so many great things about that book! I need to get it and read it. Is it in a series or is it a stand alone book?
