Bridesmaid Hair?

I love being a bridesmaid.

Yeah, you have to buy an expensive (and often ugly) dress that you'll never wear again, but isn't it amazing to be an integral part of a couple's big day?

As you know, I'm a Bridesmaid in my brother-in-law's wedding next weekend. I'm so excited!

I have my dress...

Yup, it's David's Bridal.

I got my shoes...

$18 at DSW! I {heart} DWS!

The only thing left is to figure out is how to do my hair.

Since the dress is pretty "poofy" on the bottom (that's the Mr.'s description, not mine), I want my hair to have some volume to it balance things out.

I loved my half-up hair that I had done for my friend's wedding in 2009. But this time I was thinking of getting a full up-do to mix things up a little.

I put together a little inspiration board for the hair-do that I'm thinking (I tried to find examples with bangs since I have bangs)...

(That's me as bridesmaid in 2009 in the lower left corner to show how my hair looks with volume on the crown)

Basically I want volume on the crown with a lowish, curly, side bun/chignon.

Do you think that will look good? Any other suggestions?

I loooove that look and I think it'll look great on you! One of my bridesmaids did that for my wedding and I'm hoping that one of my bffs will let me do it for her wedding next fall :). Have fun!

I like the Jessica Alba example! I had to have a lot of volume in my hair when I got married because I have a small head and I didn't want all my pics to come out with me like a little pea-head. :-) I'm sure you will look lovely!

I like the Jessica Alba as well. And, the Eva mendes. They would both look great on you. And, cute dress!

I always struggle with what to do with my hair when I'm a bridesmaid. I have been in a lot of wedding recently and always feel like I do the exact same thing with my hair every time. So way to go on mixing it up for your brother's wedding. I think the side bun with volume on the crown will look fantastic! Jessica's Alba's version is definitely my favorite!

Love the dress!
I think we all are thinking the same thing...Jessica Alba's style.
Her bangs look alot like yours, so you can pretty much picture what your hair will look like that way.

I love the Jessica Alba look. Her bangs seem similar to yours and it looks like a low maintenance hairstyle for the big day. All really pretty options though!

First of all, love the dress and shoes. Second, you look adorable in that picture! I really like the Miley Cyrus do personally, but Jessica Alba's would work, too!

Ha! I noticed you were a Trojan a while ago but decided to be civil :). I was a Gamma Phi...and I'm so glad we had our pinning...it was pretty ridiculous but so fun! Your Hubby owes you for not having one :)

Ohhh that will look so pretty! I think the Jessica Alba style or the Carrie Underwood style will look fantastic.

I heart DSW too--hands down, the best!

I think that style will look great on you! I'm in my SIL's wedding 2 weeks from Saturday and I think I'm going to wear my hair pulled 1/2 back and with lots of curls in the back. I've never been able to do that for a wedding because it's always been too warm, but not in March in the midwest! I just wish I had some bangs!

Love the shoes too! I had mine picked out and then found some different ones the other night! Good thing kohls has a good return policy!

I think a pouf plus that sassy dress will be perfect!

Although in my life I don't think I've ever turned down a pouf...
