Can you believe that after a year and half of marriage, I'm still working on wedding projects?
Well, I am.
I've been trying to get our wedding photos in order. I made a digital scrapbook our of "Pre-Wedding Festivities." And I ordered our official wedding album back in February, but it STILL has not come. Note: I'm not sure what company my photographer ordered it from, but remind me never to use them again.
Even after making a wedding shadow box of my favorite wedding memorabilia I still had an entire box of wedding stuff sitting in my closet for over a year. Note: You can see more about my Wedding Shadow Box Project here.
Most of the box was actually bridal shower and wedding cards from friends and family. Does anyone else have a problem getting rid of cards? I just can't part with them!
So I decided to make a scrapbook of wedding cards and other wedding memorabilia.
First I cut apart all of cards and made collages of the messages like this:
Then for my favorite imagines from the fronts of the cards, I made collages like this:
I also made some collages of my wedding memorabilia (save the date, invitation, program, place cards, etc.) like this:
I love how it turned out. It's a great way to see all the messages from loved ones and cherish my wedding memories whenever I want!
Then what I didn't put into the shadow box or in the scrapbook, I tossed.
One giant box of clutter gone!

I haven't done any of this yet from my wedding 18 months ago! We still have lots of clutter.
Such great ideas! I have such a hard time getting rid of cards, especially the ones from our wedding so I will definitely be stealing your ideas :)
It must feel so good to make progress with the wedding clutter. I still have to tackle all of our pictures, I haven't ordered any prints yet and our walls are so bare. That's next on my list... maybe this summer?
I still have all of our shower and wedding cards and thought I would do something with them (hence, why I kept them). My only thought is this? Where do you display them? I thought about the guest room, but don't want people to think I'm still living in "bride mode". Know what I mean?
I can hardly toss out Christmas cards, much less wedding ones!
I'm in the process of scrapbooking all of our wedding stuff. And by "in the process," I mean I have plans to start. Soon. Ish. But I am just 2 pages away from having completed the scrapbook of our first year, since I have found scrapbooking to be very therapeutic to my sentimental heart while also being a good way to declutter! Glad I'm not the only one!
Don't feel bad I still have the cards from all of our showers and stuff too. It's been two years. You have inspired me to dig it out and do something crafty with it!
such a fun and creative idea!
That's a great idea, I've been wondering what you do with all that stuff!
Love this idea!
It has been almost a year for us and I'm beginning to think that it's about time to go through and toss (tear!) the things we don't want/need and finding a way to store and keep the stuff we do want.
Girl, I got married 5 years ago and everything is still in a box. Now with the little one around, I assure you it will probably never get done! Hopefully I don't do the same to her stuff!
I love the idea for the cards! I'm not sure if I still have any left! I know I have a box of stuff in the closet, but I have also torn apart cards and saved pieces I liked for scrapbooking. I think wedding stuff is the hardest to figure out!
I can't throw anything away so I definitely get it. I think you had a great idea, and I loved the way it turned out. I'm thinking whenever we wind up getting married this might be something fun I'll want to do afterwards.
i framed our invite :D i still have more to do too!!!!
Never fear! I'm still working on my wedding scrapbook myself! Almost two years later!
What a GREAT idea! I still can't watch wedding shows without getting teary and it's been almost three years!!! HA!
Such a great idea for the cards/wedding paper! I will have to remember to do this after our wedding. I already have cards saved from when we first got engaged... what a fun time, how could I part without them? :) Hope you're doing well! Sorry I don't visit your blog as often as I'd like!
Love the card collages...what a sweet way to remember things.
Such great ideas!
