Our Home: Step Into My Office

Please, step into my office...

It's Friday, so you know what that means...

This week is offices!

The theme of our office is "The University Of Southern California" (USC) and surfing. Since we both love USC and the beach!

The first thing you see when you walk in this is cute shelf from Crate & Barrel.

On it are the two hurricanes that we used for the Sand Ceremony at our Wedding and a picture of us at our Graduation from USC in 2005.

The next thing you see are our two desks.
I love these desks because of all of the storage space above them. Believe it or not, they are from Ikea (most of our furniture in our house is either from Crate & Barrel or Plummers). They look modern and are very sturdy.

The next thing you see is the view out of the window.
I took this shot this morning. I love watching the boats going in and out of Long Beach.

Then on the opposite wall is our futon.

Judah (the kitten) loves to play with the pillows and stuffed animals on there. See him? This futon is new and really nice. I like to sit on when I get tired of sitting on my desk.

See all the USC stuff on the futon?

The bear and monkey were both gifts from the Mr. when we were first dating back in college. I love them still.

Above the futon are the Mr's surfboards mounted on the wall. He's got a long board and short board.

Next to the futon is my jewelery "box".

There was no good place in our bedroom or bathroom for it, so it got moved to the office. So now I have to come in here to pick out my jewelery for the day. Random, I know. This jewelery box was actually my Grandma's and then my Mom's and now I have it. It's so huge, I love it!

Above our desks are our USC diplomas.

And above the Mr's desk is his fraternity paddle.

I need to get my Gamma Phi Beta crescent from my parent's house to go above mine!

This is the Mr's desk. He LOVES that computer. It's all tricked out and stuff.

Sitting on his desk is a surfboard clock (present from my Mom, she's always picking up fun stuff like that!) and a very early picture of us. I gave that little picture to the Mr. as part of his gift basket when he won Gamma Phi Guy of the Month back in college. So fun that he still has it!

This is my desk.

Yes, I have TWO laptops. One is my personal laptop, one is for work.

I also have some fun old pictures on my desk of me and the Mr. and me as a baby with my parents.

Next to my desk is the file cabinet that my sewing machine sits on. You'll also recognize the corkboard next to it from the DIY tutorial.

Thanks for stopping by our office! As you can tell, it holds a lot of great memories. GO TROJANS! FIGHT ON! (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
Can't wait to show you bathrooms and the Master Bedroom in a few weeks!

What a fun post...I love your jewelry box! My in-laws gave me one for Christmas one year, but I exchanged it for one size down (I thought it was too big). Big mistake. I'm already over flowing.

Thanks for stopping by to see our office! Yes, we have a deer! In fact, we have several, but one is the limit for the house! Hubby has one at his office....I told him I hope none of his clients are against hunting! :) My grandchildren live in San Diego, don't know how far you are from there....but I love SD....maybe because the most precious kids in America live there!!!

your office is so nice and clean!! i don't know if my office will be making it's debut tonite.. it tends to be a "catch all" and is a small disaster right now. oh well!

Tell us the truth, you totally cleaned that room up before taking pictures. That's not really how you live, is it? How do you get anything done with all that opening drawers and cabinets to get stuff out and then put it all away again? I save myself the effort and just leave all the crap out. Good thing our office has a door.

My Dad was a TKE! How fun!

And I too rock the two laptops for work and personal! Makes the desk more fun and more hectic!

Great office! I love all the USC accessories. The TKE paddle cracks me up. I don't think I have anything sorority in my office. That's how you can tell that I'm old.

Although, I have an Alumna license plate frame for my car..

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The coffee table is from Crate & Barrel. We bought it about three years ago and there is a side table that goes with it in the living room. I saw that you said most of your furniture was from there too! I love that place.

I also saw that you said you graduated from USC. My hubby's older sister graduated from there too in 2006. (She took awhile to graduate :))

I LOVE your office. It is so personal and an effective work space. The view isn't bad either. ;)

Stop by again some time!
