FreedomThis weekend I finished my first
book of 2011,
Freedom by Jonathan Franzen.
This was a truly fantastic book. Franzen is an amazing writer that paints scenes and characters with beautiful and witty language. And while I didn't find myself liking a lot of the characters for much of the story, I was incredibly captivated with them and how real they were. This is one of those books that "stays with you" for days. I give it 5 stars/5 stars and highly recommend it. I almost want to read it again!
But tomorrow I start reading
The Help and I am excited!
A giveaway! Also, I am doing a really awesome giveaway this week on my
Reviews and Giveaways blog for a handmade necklace from the Nakate Project. Head over to my

I borrowed The Help from a co-worker and I can't wait to read it! I think if I start it I will avoid my homework, however. :) Hope your weekend away was great!
I LOVED The Help! Enjoy it! I didn't want it to be over...
The Help was AMAZING! I don't buy books very often, but this is one that I will buy once I get my e-reader.
I just finished Freedom last week, and really enjoyed it too! You'll love The Help!!
Oh you will LOVE The Help!! Can't wait to hear your opinion, (especially from someone outside of the South). Just finished Steve Martin's "An Object of Beauty." I recommend it!
I have heard so many great things about that book! I need to get it and read it. Is it in a series or is it a stand alone book?
Love your blog's new look! I am in the middle of Freedom and hope things don't keep falling apart... ha!
