2011 is definitely going to bring lots more business travel, which means more fun travel too!
We are probably not doing any international travel this year because in 2010 I earned a 2011 Southwest Airlines Companion Pass. So anytime I fly on a Southwest Airlines flight the Mr. can fly with me for FREE. Pretty awesome, right? So we're trying to maximize that pass. :)
Here's our travel plans as I know them thus far, but I've only officially booked the first two...
January - Santa Cruz and Monterey
A friend is getting married in Santa Cruz but the Mr. and I are making a three day trip out of it.
February - Salt Lake City
Skiing! The Mr. has never been to SLC, so I'm excited to take him.
March - Oregon
The Mr's younger brother is getting married in Oregon. And we're going to stay an extra day and go skiing on Mt. Hood.
April - New Orleans
I've never been to New Orleans, so I think a trip is in order! I know lots of you have been there so I'll definitely be asking for advice when we confirm our trip.
May - Arizona
We had SO much fun at the Westin Kierland in Arizona last summer that we're definitely going back.
June - Napa
I'm ashamed to admit this, both as a wine-lover and a Californian, but I've been to every wine region in California except Napa. Isn't that crazy?
July - San Diego
Friend I've known since I was born is getting married.
August - Oregon
Annual camping trip.
September/October - East Coast
Since we don't have a September/October trip planned I was thinking of going out the East Coast. Maybe see my Mom in Boston or maybe try to go to Washington DC and the mid-Atlantic. TBD based on a lot of other life factors. :)
November - Oregon
Thanksgiving (as usual)
December - San Diego
Christmas (as usual)
Where are you going in 2011?

Sounds like a blast! We never really travel but I think for our 1 year wedding anniversary in April we might go to New Orleans for a couple of days.
Sounds like a fantastic year of travel! Our big trip will be our honeymoon, still trying to finalize our destination between Mexico and Maui. Hopefully we will also make a trip to San Francisco (and a couple drives to Portland/Eugene.
I am going to be living vicariously through you this year since I will be going back to school and will be poor! You are going to have so much fun and make so many new memories!
You have a lot to look forward to! I have been to SLC a couple of times for work. Let me know if you need some food recs.
We are going with Ty's family on vacation to Orange Beach, AL. Not too excited about the location, but we hope to make a trip to New Orleans along the way. It will be the end of May. It would be crazy if we were there at the same time!
That's a very nice blog, I love the pictures! Beautiful places!
God bless you!

Ooooh you have lots of fun trips planned!!
We're using my Southwest Companion Pass for the first time this weekend on a trip to Austin, TX - so excited to try it out!
Sounds awesome! Ski Snowboard in Utah. Awesome!!
I'm an expert on Napa and New Orleans.
Let me know before you go and I can offer suggestions for both
Does the smiley face for Sept/Oct indicate you are trying to get pregnant? :)
We're going to Europe in May - Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin, Rome, and Madrid. I can't wait! How do you get a companion pass on Southwest? Is it a certain amount of flights or is it miles?
@Carrie - SWA gives you a companion pass when you fly 50+ roundtrips in a 12 month period.
I was just thinking earlier today about how glad I am I'm not traveling all the time but how sad I am that I don't get to travel all the time anymore. haha! Sounds like some great trips are planned!
Yay for Santa Cruz weddings - I got married there in September! :D I really need to experience New Orleans too!
I'm so jealous of all of your amazing trips!
We really want to plan a long weekend in Arizona sometime soon, thanks for mentioning the Westin!
September/October: Somewhere near me!!!!!!
So jealous of all of your fun trips coming up! My husband went skiing in SLC last Winter and absolutely loved it. Napa is definitely at the top of my list for potential trips since I looove wine. We just booked our flights to Rome for 10 days in Italy and Paris in April so I'm sure I will be hitting you up for suggestions soon :)
Totally jeal! We have nothing on the radar because I'm so swamped with work. We're hoping a trip to DC in the spring to see the cherry blossoms, but, who knows.
It sounds like y'all have a fabulous 2011 in store!
What a fabulous travel itinerary! I love having trips to look forward to, no matter how extravagent or insignificant! We've got several trips in the works for this year. I think you've just inspired me to do a similar post! hehe
I don't think we will be traveling very much this year :) We are planning Vegas for my 30th...so I'm so excited about that! I think you will love New Orleans!
That's a lot of trips! :) So much fun...

Yay, so many fun trips to look forward to! Let me know when you're coming in Sept/Oct ;-)! We miiight be going to AZ in the March/April time frame too, we'll have to see :) and we'll probably have some trips to SC for Hubby's work, and NC in July for Hubby's family beach trip. and maybe some other little trips here and there too, with three littles driving will be much easier/cheaper than flying!! :) Xoxoxo
New Orleans is great! You'll love it! I'm trying to get out to Seattle this year but I'm planning a big trip for the fall!
You should definitely do an east coast trip!! DC..Baltimore..Hershey..NYC.. Everyone should do a stroll thru Hershey!!!!!! The best place ever :)
