We Wish a Merry Christmas Card?

My parents only send Christmas Cards about every 5 years (sad, but they're busy folks, especially since Christmas is always at the end of school semester and they work at Universities). My Mom really wanted to do cards this year (since she wanted to tell people about the wedding, etc.) so I designed a card for them on Kodak ordered them today with "cyber Monday" deals Kodak has going on. Here's what the cards look like:

Since those are from my Mom and Dad, my Mom asked me if the Mr. and were going to send cards of our own. I'm still debating, but considering we just sent a Wedding Thank You card to pretty much everyone we knew a couple weeks ago, I feel like people have heard enough from us this year. This is what our Wedding Thank You card looked like:

I also feel like with new technology (facebook, email, blogs, etc.) that I keep in such close touch with most people, that a holiday card feels a bit superfluous (esp. this year).

So Newlyweds out there, are you sending out cards this year, or have people gotten enough mail from you in 2008?

And should we send out Christmas Cards? (considering that 1. we just sent out over 100 Thank Yous and 2. My parents card will reach most people that I tangentially know and don't keep in close touch with?)

On a separate note, I LOVE someecards. So snarky. Check out their Christmas Card selection.

I love that you sent the wedding thank yous! What a great idea! We're doing a Christmas card, but our wedding was 6 months ago, so I feel like I can start hastling everyone again! haha! :)

I'm so terrible! I haven't sent out the thank you cards yet... *sigh* I've even got most of them done. I wanted to send out christmas cards too, but I don't think I have the money to make the ones that I wanted. But if I did, I'd send both. But I don't think it's necessary.
I'm going to go finish those thank you cards right now!!

I'm still trying to figure out how I can squeeze dealing with Christmas cards into my schedule. If you discover the secret, let me know!

I just send out Christmas Cards that I created on Shutterfly with a single photo of us on our wedding day. And I only send those out to our close family and cousins.

It's been two months since we've been married and I have yet to send out thank yous...I'm slacking. I'm just wanting to send out a cute thank you.

Where did you have your thank you cards created?

I love your wedding thank yous!! I don't think you need to send everyone a christmas card..maybe just immediate family!

Hi! I am a new reader of your blog! I love your header pic!! What beach? My header is our beach shot taken at Manhattan Beach, California.

I'm actually going to use the christmas card as a chance to send all my good friends and family pictures of them from the wedding.

But I have yet to get the energy to do it.

I love the photo cards- they are super cute! We are sending out Christmas cards, but that is mostly because we have been married over three years now. I don't know that I would send one if I just sent the thank yous.
