I LOVE photos. I always have. I've made bulletin boards, scrapbooks, and collages out of my photos for years. I love the sense of history that they provide.
Before our wedding, I managed to scan 70 photos of my childhood and have them printed up on kodakgallery.com. And the Mr's Mom scanned 200+ baby pictures of him, sent them to me on a disk, and I had a bunch of those printed up.
Here is a look at a few of my favorites side-by-side at age >1, age 3, age 5, and age 17 (I'm always on the left)

Can you tell what our future children will look like? :-)
For our wedding I ended up making three poster boards of Photos to put on easels at the entrance to the reception. One featured us as babies/kids, one featured pictures of us as a couple, and one featured our Parents' Wedding Photos. I love the way they turned out and I think the guests did too.
I'm not 100% sure what's going on here... but I think the bridesmaids liked the photos as well:
We ended up framing this one and hanging it in our condo's main hallway:
The rest we dismantled and put into single frames and albums.
Do you have family photos and childhood photos in your house? Is it hard to just pick a few?!

What a great idea...I have wayy too many oics that need to find a home.
I LOVE this! I feel very similarly about photos and keeping history alive through them... D and I did the same thing for our wedding and had our slideshow playing throughout our wedding --
Love what you did with the posters!
SO freaking cute! :) I love them and I love pictures too. You did a good job with the collage.
I love old photos! Childhood photos of me and my siblings are my favorite. I also love looking at what my parents used to wear!
Such a cute idea!! Love the pictures! :)
Those are such cute pics! What a creative idea!!! :)
I love pictures too. :) Thank god for digital, I take so many they'd be overflowing my closet now!!!
I love that idea! When I get married (not that it will be anytime soon) I want to do something similar. I've seen it done several way, but I think this is one of my favorites!
These boards are so great! I did something very similar at our wedding. I scanned in pics of my fiance and me as kids, just like you, then I took photos of other people's weddings I had... family, friends, etc. folks I knew were coming to the wedding.
Then I made a slide show presentation with them all and had it on a constant loop display towards the end of my reception in the "bar area." People were so amazed when they saw shots of THEMSELVES there!! How fun!
those are soo cute! i wanted to do that for ours too but it didn't end up working out, i love it! we want to frame a pic of each of us and our little guy(s) all around the same age =)
Cute pictures... but that's not why I'm here. I saw your post about your sewing machine, and am wondering how thats going - I just got one and my stiches are all messed up :-( The front looks ok, but the back side is pretty terrible... any advice?
That's ADORABLE!!! You did an awesome job!
I love pictures - especially from childhood. My mom made a poster board thing for us at our wedding. I think she actually still has it (or I hope she does)! I'm actually working on compiling some great older photos to create a family photo collage wall in part of our hallway.
That's great idea. Nice pictures!
Thanks for such adorable post!
