Honeymoon Memories!

It's been about 9 months since we went on our Honeymoon and I had yet to make or order a photo album of our Honeymoon until today. Inexcusable, I know.

I was talking to Blue-Eyed Bride over email about our Honeymoons last week (since we both Honeymooned at the Grand Wailea in Maui) and decided it was about time for me to get this album done!

I used to be really into scrapbooking, but now that everything is so digital I think I like making digital albums better. I've used Kodak Gallery and My Publisher before. But my friend recently made a book of her trip to Africa using Blurb and it was fantastic. So I decided to go with Blurb this time.

With Blurb you download software, arrage your photos and text within the layout choices, and then upload all of the pages to Blurb.com. They then send you a high-quality photo album/ photo book in the mail. It's pretty cool!

I'll let you know how the book looks when I get it in the mail next week! Here is preview of the cover shot:

Have you made digital photo albums or books like this before? What company do you like best? My Publisher, Blurb, Kodak Gallery, Creative Memories or another? Or do you still like paper scrapbooks and albums the best?

My big sis made a big family cookbook/scrapbook for me for Christmas from blurb- it turned out GREAT! We're going to make another one, too, this year. LOVE blurb

was it easy to do those cool layouts? Or did you do them in photoshop and upload? I made a little one with shutterfly after our family cruise(I had a coupon for a free book!) and it turned out great. We leave on our honeymoon Tuesday so I will be making a book. My wedding scrapbook is still sitting here incomplete and our 1st anniversary is in 2 weeks--digital goes so much faster. I am having a contest on my blog this week if you want to enter!

I like scrapbooking in theory. Mainly because of all the fun stickers and papers. But I never actually make the time to do it.

That collage is so neat!!

It's so worth all the time you put into it... espesh when it's for the honeymoon!! I spent days on ours but the hubby def appreciated it once he came back home. :)

Hmm, I can totally see the advantage to a digital scrapbook because of how much faster it would be to put together, but then again I think things like personal messages in a loved ones handwriting, saved memos from different events, and overall creativity would be sacrificed. I guess I can see pluses and minuses in both. Can't wait to see how your book turns out!

I'm considering a shutterfly book of the wedding. But I'll wait to see how your Blub book turns out. Perhaps I'll use blub instead.

I used Blurb to make wedding books for our parents as Christmas gifts. I was SO pleased with the way they turned out. Our parents loved them, and they are so professional looking! I'm in the process of making another book now. It's so fun :)

Ahhh...now i feel like a total slacker! My husband and I honeymooned at the Westin Resort and Spa in Maui in September and I have yet to organize my photos.

Maybe now I'll starting looking through them...

I STILL have to do this too! We went to Europe last Aug/Sept and ordered prints of all of our pics. I have been meaning to start scrapbooking, but there are always excuses for me not to!

I used shutterfly and just made books before. It's pretty simple and I liked their pricing the best. Ps. Email me your number so we can meet up. (danica@chicrunner.com)

I prefer scrapbooking for the "BIGGER" events, but I also love the ease of digital scrapbooking. I have been wanting to check out blurb! Cant wait to see how it turns out!
